The short version: PIKOTO collects no data. No accounts, no analytics, no ads, no tracking. Your songs and sounds stay on your devices and in your own iCloud.
This policy covers the PIKOTO app for iPhone and iPad, its Audio Unit, and this website, all published by tennnis.
On your device
Projects, sounds and settings are saved on your iPhone or iPad, inside the app. PIKOTO works fully offline. Your device's own backups may include them, under Apple's terms.
If iCloud Drive is on for PIKOTO, your projects and saved sounds are also kept in your own iCloud Drive, in a PIKOTO folder, so they reach your other devices and survive a reinstall. That storage is Apple's, under Apple's terms; we can't see it. Turn it off under ICLOUD SYNC in PIKOTO's menu, or for PIKOTO in iCloud settings. Nothing is uploaded to us or to anyone else.
No data collection
PIKOTO has no analytics, no advertising, no third-party trackers and no software kits that report what you do. We don't collect names, email addresses, contacts, location or device identifiers. This matches the Data Not Collected label on the App Store.
Bluetooth and MIDI
The BLUETOOTH key in the menu opens Apple's screen for pairing Bluetooth MIDI keyboards and controllers, and iOS asks your permission first. MIDI goes between PIKOTO and your devices and apps, and nowhere else.
Audio you export
EXPORT AUDIO renders a WAV file and hands it to the share sheet. Where it goes from there is your choice.
Purchases
PIKOTO is free to download, with one optional purchase. Purchases, restores and Family Sharing are handled by the App Store. We never see your payment details. Apple gives us anonymous sales figures for accounting.
This website
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. If you pick a palette, your browser remembers it in its own local storage, and it never leaves your browser. The site is served by Cloudflare, whose servers handle requests as any web host does.
Children
Because PIKOTO collects nothing, it collects nothing from children either.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version goes on this page with a new date.
